International Travel Registry

Portland State University offers a secure system for faculty, staff, students, and sponsored affiliates to record international travel plans and emergency contact information.  The goal is to offer a one-step service that facilitates emergency communications and access to University-approved International Health Insurance.

PLEASE NOTE: This registration is separate from the PSU Viking Travel Authorization Process. Your PSU Travel Authorization must be filed separately.

PLEASE NOTE:
This registration will not enroll you in international health insurance. If you require international health insurance for your travel, you need to register via this link. If you are registering for insurance, you do not need to also register here, as your itinerary will be filed separately.

Who should register to travel?
  • All PSU faculty, staff, and students traveling abroad for university-related purposes. (Students who are studying abroad on a PSU approved program do not need to register.)
  • Travel should be registered prior to departure.
  • Travelers should update their registrations as additional information becomes available or changes occur before or during travel.
  • Travelers may include personal or leisure travel, as well.
  • Faculty and staff travelers may list accompanying family or friends who are not directly associated with the University.

What are the benefits of the Travel Registry?
  • Emergency Communications: Your travel registration enables PSU to reach you in the event of an emergency – abroad or at home. The travel registry is the University’s official means for sharing urgent health, safety, and security-related information.
  • Information regarding Center for Disease Control and U.S. Department of State Travel Advisories and Country Information, as well as additional resources to prepare for travel.
  • Access to PSU International Health Insurance - The travel registry provides access to PSU approved international health insurance. This coverage also includes emergency evacuation in the event of political instability or natural disaster.
