Room & Board: The University of Ulsan will provide housing, at low cost, in a residence hall to PSU students. Information on housing can be found here. The amount listed in this category is an estimate for meals and low-cost on-campus housing.
Education Abroad fee: This $500 fee is charged by PSU each term a student is abroad.
Health Insurance: The current daily cost for international health insurance is set at $2.00 per day. The amount listed in this column is a rough estimate based on approximate program dates. This coverage includes emergency evacuation, repatriation of remains, and much more. Full details on coverage can be found here.
PSU Rec-Center fee: This $44 fee is charged by the PSU Recreation Center each term a student is abroad. The fee cannot be waived.
Estimated Airfare: The University of Ulsan will reimburse students for airfare costs (max 1,300,000 KRW, approximately $1,100 USD). The amount listed in this category is what students may need to pay out of pocket for a round trip flight to Ulsan. Students find and purchase airfare on their own. Airfare costs will range depending on dates traveled, when purchased, etc. Some students use frequent flier miles and thus are able to save in this category.
Estimated Personal Expenses: This category may include things like transportation in the local area, books & course supplies, and other misc. personal expenses. Depending on lifestyle choices, students can spend more/less.
Note: Tuition & Fees, Education Abroad Fee, Health Insurance, and the PSU Rec-Center fee will be billed to your PSU student account in two installments, over winter and spring terms.
