Program Description:

Program OverviewHaifa, Israel

Haifa is Israel's third largest city. First and foremost a port city for international commerce, it has in recent decades become a major center for Israel's high-tech industry. Build on Mount Carmel, Haifa is a collection of diverse, picturesque, and easily accessible neighborhoods from the port area of in the lower city, to the commercial Hadar area in the middle tier, and the beautiful residential area of the upper ridge.

Program Focus

Founded in 1963, the University of Haifa has quickly become one of Israel's leading universities. Situated at the top of the Carmel Mountains, amidst the Carmel National Forest, with breathtaking views of the Mediterranean Sea, University of Haifa provides the perfect setting for your experience abroad. 

The University of Haifa is the largest comprehensive research university in northern Israel. It is a microcosm of Israeli society dedicated to academic excellence and social responsibility. An exciting and inspiring cultural mosaic, the university has a diverse student population made up of Jews, Christians, Muslims, Druze and Bedouins, a combination of new immigrants with native Israelis, a blend of the secular and the religious. Over 18,000 students study at the University of Haifa and you are encouraged to be one of them.

Students who come to the University of Haifa International School for a summer program will have an experience they will never forget!  In July and August the Study Abroad Program at the International School of the University of Haifa offers month-long programs for students and adult learners from all over the world. Each four week academic or language course allows students to benefit from the unique cultural diversity that the University and the city of Haifa offer.

Application Fee:
All applications include a $50 non-refundable fee due on the application deadline. Students who do not intend to complete a program application are required to withdraw before the deadline, otherwise, the $50 application fee will
be assessed to the students' account.
