Amman, Jordan's capital, is a rapidly growing city with a history extending back at least 5,000 years. Despite its long history, most of Amman is quite new, having been built after World War II. The city is draped over several hills, has a bustling souk (marketplace), and numerous museums, art galleries, theaters, and cinemas. Amman is cosmopolitan, with inhabitants from all over the Middle East. The city provides a safe and stable environment while offering many opportunities for students to learn about the region.
Program Focus
If you’re interested in beginning your study of Arabic, or taking your advanced language skills to the next level, come discover Jordan this summer. Through a rigorous course of instruction, you’ll develop skills in both Modern Standard Arabic and Colloquial Jordanian Arabic. A variety of cultural activities will offer you insight into Jordanian society and the culture.
Application Fee:
All applications include a $50 non-refundable fee due on the application deadline. Students who do not intend to complete a program application are required to withdraw before the deadline, otherwise, the $50 application fee will be assessed to the students' account.
