Program Description:

Program OverviewIFSA_Yucatan

Mérida and the rest of the state of Yucatán are one of the crown jewels in Latin America tourism. Cosmopolitan and cultural but also laid back, this stunningly beautiful area is an ideal place to immerse yourself in an authentic culture that still incorporates ancient pre-hispanic elements. Once an independent republic, the Yucatán still considers itself culturally and historically separate from Mexico.

Program Focus

Ranked as the top public university in Mexico, the Universidad Autónoma de Yucatán (UADY) is a high quality, fulfilling academic environment located in the beautiful city of Mérida. Because of its location among some of the most fascinating archaeological sites in Mexico, UADY is proud of its commitment to archaeology and anthropology.
