Program Description:
 
PROGRAM OVERVIEWSTFL Mexico Media
Immerse yourself for a two week intensive in Guanajuato, Mexico, a UNESCO World Heritage city, rich with Pre-Colombian, Colonial, and Revolutionary history. A contemporary and historical look into printmaking, art, and culture will be examined during studio time, and experiential outings to local shops, museums, and galleries.

Monoprint, Drypoint, Pronto plate and Relief block printmaking techniques will be explored as well as mixed media modes of art making. Class time will be spent primarily in the studio, and on field trips to neighboring towns, villages, museums, and galleries.

Considerations This program takes place in Guanajuato, Mexico, located at 6,600 ft above sea level, where students have been known to feel elevation sickness.

    • This is not a formal letter of recommendation, rather your recommender will need to fill out a short questionnaire about you with space for comments. 
    • This cannot be submitted by the program leader
    • These must be Professional or Academic in nature
