Program Overview
From the Imperial Palace to the skyscrapers of Japan, Inc., Tokyo is home to more than 11 million people and a dynamic confluence of commerce, culture, and industry. Tucked among the city’s thriving financial, industrial and entertainment districts are smaller neighborhoods with narrow streets, wooden houses, and handicraft shops, each with a flavor and history all its own. Though Tokyo is densely populated, it offers pockets of calm in beautiful parks and gardens, quiet residential streets, and tranquil temples and shrines.
Program Focus
In addition to your Japanese language classes, you can enroll in any of the university's regular courses with Japanese students and other international participants. Courses are available in English through the School of International Politics, Economics, and Business (SIPEB), or in Japanese at any of the university's other departments. Students with proficiency in the language may take regular courses taught in Japanese.
