Program Description:
PROGRAM OVERVIEWBuenos Aires, Argentina

This two-week intensive study abroad experience in Chile and Argentina features deep exposure to business development in two distinct economies in South America. The first week will be focused in and around Santiago, Chile's largest city. During the second week, the group will contrast Santiago's economy with the economy of Buenos Aires, Argentina.  During their time in both cities, students will be exposed to the local culture, sophisticated consumers and a range of multinational and small and medium-sized network of companies.

The curriculum will study business development strategies and practices as they apply to Chile and Argentina. The course will use a combination of readings, cases, class discussions and company visits to gain a better understanding of the business challenges and opportunities that exist in two different economies in South America today. The learning objectives of this course are to:
  • Understand the challenges, opportunities, and strategies to develop business in South America.
  • Gain a deeper understanding of how strategy, marketing, government, entry and internal organizations apply in Chile and Argentina.
  • Apply tools & knowledge you have learned in the MBA program to develop solutions to complex situations faced by firms doing business in South America.
