Hanyang University is located in eastern Seoul and is one of the largest and highest ranked universities in Korea. As of March 2001, the University comprised twenty Colleges, ninety-two Departments, fifteen Schools where students can pursue Master's and PhD level Studies, two University Hospitals, and forty-three Research Institutes. Enrollment totals approximately 25,000 students.
Students at Hanyang University benefit from all the facilities, expertise, and advantages of a large scale, multi-disciplinary university environment. Hanyang University offers a variety of courses, taught in English, so it is not necessary for students to have a fluency in Korean prior to attending. However, students should have a willingness to learn the Korean language as well as about the Korean culture so that they can become accustomed to student life in South Korea.
