Program Overview CIEE Palma De Mallorca

If you want to study Spanish while developing your management skills for future leadership in business, tourism or hospitality, there's no setting better than Palma.

Drawing 80% of its local GDP from the tourism service sector, Palma de Mallorca is the ideal laboratory for students interested in business, hospitality, and recreation management. Enrolling directly with local Spanish students in a variety of specially designed, English-taught classes, you'll develop critical management skills, industry vocabulary, and global perspective. And with an emphasis on practical experience, study abroad in Palma provides you with various company visits, field study activities, and internship opportunities that give you insight into business and professional tourism in a foreign environment.

Program Focus

Whether you're a beginner or more advanced level Spanish speaker, study abroad in Palma offers language learning courses that suit your abilities and introduce vocabulary relevant to business, tourism, and hospitality. You'll also have your choice of CIEE electives in subjects including international marketing, entrepreneurship and innovation, sustainable tourism, international meeting and event planning, international tourism, and contemporary Spanish politics and society.

Additional Requirements Students with 5 semesters of Spanish or more or the equivalent should enroll in the Liberal Arts program offered in Spanish.

Application Fee:
All applications include a $50 non-refundable fee due on the application deadline. Students who do not intend to complete a program application are required to withdraw before the deadline, otherwise, the $50 application fee will
be assessed to the students' account.
