Program OverviewValencia

  • Live in a cutting-edge city rich in culture, with picturesque museums, historic monuments, modern performing arts venues, and the City of Arts and Sciences, a unique complex devoted to scientific and cultural dissemination.
  • Enjoy all that this coastal city has to offer, from miles of beaches to seaside promenades, ocean sports, and access to l’Oceanographic, the largest marine center in Europe.
  • Explore the third-largest city in Spain on Valencia’s 120+ kilometers of bike lanes and garden causeways that connect this “bike-friendly” city’s most important and desirable areas.
  • Experience Valencian cuisine, which utilizes the richness of locally grown produce and seafood to put a spin on traditional Mediterranean dishes, in the birthplace of paella (one of Spain’s most well-known specialties).
  • Participate in the two-week-long Fallas celebration each spring, a regional festival that combines historic, religious, and comedic processions and events and culminates with midnight bonfires and fireworks displays

Program Focus

 

  • Semester (Academic year option too): You will enroll in 12 to 18-semester credits per semester (18 to 27 PSU quarter credits) comprised of a language track plus electives in literature, culture, business or STEM fields. Course availability is contingent upon student enrollment and is subject to change.
  • Summer: You will enroll in 3 to 5-semester credits per session (5 to 8 PSU quarter credits). At least one 3-credit course is required each summer session. Course availability is contingent upon student interest and enrollment and is subject to change.

Application Fee:
All applications include a $50 non-refundable fee due on the application deadline. Students who do not intend to complete a program application are required to withdraw before the deadline, otherwise, the $50 application fee will
be assessed to the students' account.
