Program Description:

Program Overview CIEE Copenhagen

Experience Copenhagen at its best – during the summer when the days are long, the festivals are full-throttle, and the harbor pools are beckoning. CIEE’s Summer in Copenhagen offers students four, eight, or twelve weeks of study abroad in English, with courses across humanities, environmental studies, design, history, and more. Frequent co-curricular activities takes learning outside of the classroom and guarantees an authentic understanding of the history and culture of the Scandinavian people.

Program Focus

Students choose one, two, or three 4-week sessions and explore Danish culture and society in and out of the classroom. Courses are taught in English by CIEE faculty drawn from a variety of higher education institutions in Denmark and worldwide. Students can also opt for the 1-credit Communicative Danish Language course during a single session. In-class work is augmented with co-curricular visits to the city’s rich variety of cultural institutions and organizations relevant to the course offerings.

CIEE Global Institute – Copenhagen is located in the city center and features modern classrooms, a student lounge, and space for cultural and academic events. Students enjoy easy access to nearby shops, restaurants, and public transportation.
