Program Description:

Program Overview CIEE_London

Work in an international hub of business, start-ups, politics, media, arts, theater, fashion and much more. Develop and expand your portfolio and networking skills in London where free professional events and workshops in every industry are available every night throughout the capital. Explore London's ever-changing skyline from a unique sky garden at the top of the Walkie Talkie.

As a CIEE Global Intern, you’ll work in a non-paying position with a leading organization, diving into a field of interest, exploring a different culture, and expanding your professional portfolio and network. Students earn 9 quarter credits towards upper-division elective requirements in their major or minor while gaining invaluable real-world work-experience to build their resume.

Program Destination

Shakespeare’s Globe Theater rests humbly in the theater district among trendy restaurants. Modern sensibility spills beyond the walls of the Tate Modern (a museum that was once a power plant) and onto the futuristic Millennium Bridge, a stark contrast to the traditions of Westminster and Buckingham Palace. More than 250 languages are spoken here in the capital of the United Kingdom, making London the most linguistically diverse city in the world. In addition, London is at the cutting-edge of the arts scene and provides access to music, fashion, museums, comedy, and theater.
